Golden Jubilee
Celebrations: Flower Festival
The Flower
Festival was held in the church over the 4-day long weekend of the 1st to
4th June. The decorations included arrangements in each of the windows, on
alternate pew_ends and at many other locations around the church. A large
proportion of the arrangements are shown below. If I have missed out one
that you were responsible for, then I am sorry - it is just chance - no
offence was intended!
Some pew_ends were
decorated with portraits of the Queen painted by the schoolchildren, as
can be seen in the final picture. Other portraits were on display in the
exhibition at the school.
The 'activity
corner' (my name for it) included a Jubilee jigsaw puzzle that visitors
were invited to help complete. When these pictures were taken on the 4th
June, not much of it had been completed - apart from the frame!
